inflatable and hardshell kayaks, Sea Eagle 330 Inflatable Kayak

http://www.eagleboats.info

“CALLING ALL ADVENTURERS: EXPEDITION-RATED KAYAK KNOWS NO FEAR ”

Built for Raging Whitewater or Open-Water Wilderness Touring.

ORDINARY inflatable and hardshell kayaks lIMIT your adventuring…

Most other inflatables are good for Whitewater paddling OR flatwater touring – but not both.

Whitewater inflatables are “wet-only” boats. They drain excess whitewater in wet conditions but leave you wet and cold in flatwater

Flatwater inflatables – dry only boats – have no drain valves so they’re useless if you get into rough water.
Ordinary Rigid Kayaks and Canoes are:

* Far heavier than inflatables
* Require an expensive roof rack
* Can’t be packed in a car trunk or checked as airline baggage.

Team Adventure Crew showcases the Sea Eagle Inflatable Kayak. At only 26Lbs, you can take this kayak anywhere! It will hold 500lbs with plenty room for 2 adults! It is perfect for your RV, or to take with you on a family trip. We took it out to Grand Teton National Park for a test drive.

Summer Sale!
Save $100.00 on Explorer Kayaks!

* Rocket fearlessly down Class IV rapids
* Traverse miles of wilderness rivers to spend weeks at primitive campsites
* Fly fish remote trout streams other fishermen cant get to
* Carry easily on a small plane to impossibly obscure fishing or camping sites

Why are Sea Eagle Explorers the top choice of Wilderness Adventures?
On-the-fly flexibility: handles wet OR dry conditions with ease
Whitewater
Explorer inflatable and hardshell kayaks handle Class 4 Rapids with ease

What do you do when the placid river youre kayaking becomes a free-for-all of rapids?

If youre in an ordinary dry-only kayak with no drains, you must either portage your craft or get ready to sit in several inches of cold water. Similarly, a common wet-only kayaks permanently open drains let water in, even in dead-calm water.
Open Water Kayak Touring
Long, Open water trips are a breeze

The Sea Eagle Explorer Kayak is ready for wet OR dry conditions with four extra-large, easily convertible drains.

Drains OPEN, the craft bails itself in rough whitewater conditions.

Drains CLOSED, they dont let a drop of water in so you and your cargo stay comfortably dry in calm water. And worst case even filled to the gunwales with water, the Explorer Kayak still floats.

Double Floor Double Floor protection inflatable and hardshell kayaks.

The Sea Eagle Explorer Kayak is as tough as nails and as rugged as the men and women who choose it. Stem to stern, its constructed of tough 1,000 denier polyester-supported high-pressure fabric with quadruple-thickness electronic-welded seams. How tough is the Explorer Kayak? In torture testing, we pounded it mercilessly with the claw of a claw hammer. It had no effect. Neither did stabbing it with a screwdriver. We simply couldnt penetrate the crocodile hide hull.
Material you can hit with a hammer

Would you hit an inflatable boat with a claw hammer? We hit the 1000 denier hull material in our Sea Eagle boats with a claw hammer …. with the sharp claw end.

The Sea Eagle reinforced hull material can take this incredible pounding … so you don’t need to sweat bumping into the dock now and then.

The toughest off-road vehicles have skid plate protection underneath; In the same way, the Explorer Kayak has two separate floors for double protection where you most need it:

1. An outside, super-tough 1000 denier fabric floor
2. A sepearate inner inflatable floor lashed down on top of the outer floor

“Bring it On” attitude

The Explorer Kayaks super-tough hide and wet-or-dry self-bailing drain valves are just two of the ways this boat flaunts its snotty, bring it on attitude. Integrated bow and stern spray skirts have water-deflecting guards to keep you dry and rope lacing that forms secure hand-holds and convenient tie-down points.
The Explorer inflatable and hardshell kayaks can be piloted by one and easily accommodates two adventurers and tons of gear. With a beam of just over three feet wide, you get extreme stability. Two shock-absorbing inflatable seats (or optional high-back seats) are held rock-solid with nylon webbing that clips to six integrated D-rings. The Explorer Kayak comes complete and ready for action.

Choose from three hull sizes and two equipment packages. Each comes complete with hull, seats, two double-ended paddles, full instructions (printed and on DVD), inflation pump, repair kit, and convenient carry bag.

Operation Leviathan podcast 4: “On Patrol”

The Farley Mowat and the Robert Hunter had to scour the Ross Sea to find the Japanese whaling fleet for over six weeks before finally spotting them on 8 February.

Operation Leviathan is a campaign already underway by the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society to physically intervene with Japanese pirate whaling operations in the Southern Ocean. Sea Shepherd is using two ships, the Farley Mowat and the Robert Hunter (previously codenamed “Leviathan”), over 60 international volunteer crewmembers, a helicopter (”Kookaburra”), and fast zodiac inflatable boats. The whalers murder quota for the winter of early 2007(which is actually summer in Antarctica) altogether consists of up to a thousand Minke, fin and humpback whales.
The Sea Shepherd crews are risking their lives to protect the sentient, extremely intelligent mammals who share the planet with us.

Operation Leviathan podcast 6: Confrontation part 1

Posted on 28th April 2010 by admin in zodiac inflatable - Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

On 9 February, Neptune’s Navy located the Japanese whaling fleet’s factory ship, the Nisshin Maru (”the Death Star for the whales”- Captain Paul Watson). The Sea Shepherd crew successfully delivered six liters of butyric acid (a harmless, horrid-smelling substance found in rancid butter) onto the ship’s flensing deck. The scent cleared the flensing deck and stopped all work of cutting up whales. Sea Shepherd crew in Zodiacs also nailed plates to the drain outlets on the Nisshin Maru that spill blood from the flensing deck into the ocean. This forces the blood back up onto the flensing decks. The plates were secured by Hilt nail guns that drive nails through solid steel.
There was a pod of whales in the area who fled during the confrontation and are now safe from the whalers.
Sea Shepherd was able to evade the Japanese satellite tracking system by taking its ships through heavy ice, where a ship’s wake cannot be traced.

IMPORTANT: Please note the date when I uploaded these podcasts, because Operation Leviathan is a current event and the news changes.

Here’s a sped-up video of more or less the entire construction of a helideck right in front of the stern of the Robert Hunter.
