If 25 knots is only a mild exageration, you’ll find it pretty fast. I would have guessed quite a bit lower, but can’t dispute millsym’s experience.

As to cost, figure on burning about 1.5 gallons (U.S.) every 3 hours at full throttle. I let you do your own conversion.

The truth is, it will actually GO about 15 mph, but the fact is it will FEEL more like 30mph.
It will be fun – a blast in fact, and you can beach it. Have fun, be thankful, have a great time, and don’t worry about speed.

i own a 4hp yamaha 4stroke,,i use on my 8ft 6inch inflatable which i normally tow behind my ya`cht,, if solo ie alone this will plane out and does 25knots which in small boat is flying,,,i have to move my weight im 15 stone[90kg] forward at first to help get boat on plane but once up ican throttle bac`k and cruise ….transom of motor must be adjusted to maximum lift …i can go a very long way on 5 gallons of fuel but never actually measured..because you can go miles and mile..hope this helps …two strokes being smaller and lighter would be even more usable

You would go around 30 – 35 mph

It will be really slow. To figure out operating costs, assume a usage of 1gal gas (us gallons) per 1hp of motor at full rpm. This will give you a rough estimate. Its pretty accurate for my boat but im not sure on really small engines.

depending on conditions I would say abut 12 to 15 mph

is the steering seat to low looks like you would have to stretch out a bit, good idea thow.
